In April of 2016, ambient artist Celer (Will Long) released "Shrinking Spirits Unpacking From Their Journeys", a tape loop that was released under Attribution Non-commercial licensing (

The release itself is available here, if you are considering purchasing it:

Being a fan of Celer and particularly the structure of his loops, I felt it was both great practice and a great means of paying tribute to transform his loop in the fashion of how I make my own music.
I re-pitched, stretched, and slightly adjusted the timing of the loop, outputted it from my DAW to an analog mixing board with delay and reverb pedals on the effect send/return, and recorded that output directly to a Zoom H4n. The track was then mastered for release. I initially recorded a version to cassette tape, but I mistakenly recorded at too low of a volume and was thus left with a recording muddled by tape/machine noise.
Will Long is a continued source of inspiration - in music, photography, aesthetic, and output. I thank him for this opportunity, and I ask that you support his music by purchasing his albums.
